Dr. Liam Mcknight
FRCR
Consultant Radiologist, Morriston Hospital, Swansea, Former FRCR Examiner and Chair of the Examinations Board
Dr McKnight is a Consultant Radiologist who has worked in Swansea for over 35 years. He has been involved in the South West FRCR from its earliest days and helped us make it one of the best FRCR Courses in the UK.
He was an examiner for the FRCR from 2000-2006 and was Chair of the FRCR exam board from 2006-2011.
He led the development of the Single Best Answer (SBA) format for the Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) examination, including presenting the proposals to the Postgraduate Medical Education and Training Board (PMETB) and the joining with the Faculty of Clinical Oncology for some initial training.
He is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Swansea University with an interest in the teaching of anatomy as well as radiology. Liam was deputy editor of R-ITI from 2006-2009. He has been the Clinical Lead of R-ITI since 2010.
He has also published widely.
Dr. Susan King

Consultant Radiologist with an interest in Paediatric Radiology. Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton, United Kingdom
Consultant Radiologist in adult and paediatric radiology since 1993. Dr King has a long history of working with the South West FRCR Courses as an examiner and also as an Assessor for Consultants. She has worked in tertiary children’s hospitals in Liverpool and Bristol and in district general hospitals- in Weston Super Mare and currently at Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton. Trained in paediatric radiology in London, Liverpool and Toronto. Was clinical lead for radiology at Weston super Mare General Hospital and also was one of only two Clinical Directors at the Trust.Also responsible for the Surgical Division. Set up and achieved certification the ISAS programme at Weston super Mare radiology department and support the process at Musgrove Park Hospital.
Dr. Moti Chowdhury

Consultant Paediatric Radiologist at Birmingham Childrens Hospital (UK)
Dr Chowdhury is a Consultant Paediatric Radiologist who provides broad diagnostic paediatric radiology and specialises in Paediatric Interventional Radiology and Paediatric Nuclear Medicine (ARSAC Licence accredited). He has an active role in post-graduate Education and Training, teaching locally and nationally through lectures, webinars and on 3 different FRCR Revision Courses for 8 years.
Dr Chowdhury has been an examiner for the South West FRCR for many years.
He has also been involved with the FRCR 2A Exams, as Scottish Panel Lead for the FRCR2A (Paediatrics) and is currently an examiner for the FRCR 2B Final Exams.

Dr. Adrian Andreou

Dr Adrian Andreou qualified from the University of Manchester in 2001 and obtained Membership of the Royal College of Physicians prior to specialising in Radiology. Adrian completed his training at the Norwich Radiology Academy, following which he undertook a fellowship in oncological imaging at the Royal Marsden Hospital, London. He is currently practising as a Consultant Radiologist at the Royal United Hospital , Bath.
His major interests are gastrointestinal and genitourinary imaging with a particular focus on oncological imaging. His research and teaching interests are in Cervical, Rectal and Liver MRI, Diffusion Weighted Magnetic Resonance Imaging. He is a
Clinical Tutor at the University of Bristol Medical School and does regular teaching for the Severn Radiology Training scheme.
Dr. Sanjeev Shakhapur

Dr Shakhapur has worked as a Consultant Radiologist at Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust for 15 years with a specialization in Musculoskeletal Radiology and has more than 18 years of experience in this field.
He is also a Consultant in Sports Medicine practicing musculoskeletal imaging and sports injury imaging for this period and has been involved in both imaging and treatment of sports injuries. He has treated many football, rugby, and cricket players, and also other athletes.
Skilled in Healthcare Management, Healthcare, Clinical Research, Medical Education.
Passionate about radiology research and medical education.
Dr. Santosh Gurudev

Dr Gurudev is a Consultant Radiologist with over 20 years experience in the NHS. He has been Royal college educational supervisor and clinical tutor for a trainee radiologist. His expertise includes cross-sectional imaging, including body CT -MRI PETCT. He is a non-vascular interventional radiologist. He has been a clinical tutor and a Radiology clinical supervisor at Mersey deanery. He has been an audit lead and Clinical MDM Coordinator for numerous meetings including colorectal, long MDT, haematology and urology MDTs. He has done numerous audits and presented various papers and posters at various international conferences, including RSNA, the RCR conference and oral presentations at BSR.
He has a keen interest in teaching and conducting mock examinations for prospective FRCR candidates.
Dr. Kartik Gopal

Worked as a Consultant Radiologist in the NHS for 6 years , the last post at the North Cheshire NHS Foundation Hospitals. Dr Karthik also worked as a Consultant Radiologist for Medica and then as the Chief Radiologist for 3K Healthcare in Bangalore. He has also been regularly working as a Locum Consultant in the NHS for the past 3 years. He currently works as a Consultant Radiologist at Quest Teleradiology Solutions based in Bangalore. He reports on cross sectional imaging and Radiographs from the UK, Asia and Africa. He also supervises a team of Junior Radiologists in their cross sectional reporting work. He has held roles such as Lead for Clinical Governance and Clinical Audit.

Dr. Wilmi Pienaar

Wilmi studied Medicine at the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa before moving to the UK. She obtained her MRCPCH in London and subsequently trained in Radiology at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital. She has been a consultant radiologist for over ten years, working at Guy's and St Thomas' and Kingston Hospitals and been actively involved in FRCR teaching throughout her consultant career. She was the Kingston Hospital Educational Lead for Radiology from 2015 to 2018.

Dr. Sam Kular

Sam studied Medicine at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. After completing his studies, he continued on in the area for his foundation training, with working experience in Accident & Emergency, General Practice, medicine and surgery. He then went on to study for his Master’s in Research based back at Newcastle University, studying the role of PET-MRI in detection of myxofibrosarcoma. He commenced radiology training back in his home city of Sheffield, where he gained a Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists. This was followed by higher subspecialty training in Interventional Neuroradiology. He has a keen interest in research and education, having published several neuroradiology papers in peer-reviewed journals and has taught on local and national courses.
Dr. Sarah Yanny

Sarah studied Medicine at the Royal Free and University College Hospital, during which time she undertook a BSc degree in infectious disease, before attaining membership of the Royal College of Physicians in 2006. She trained in Radiology at the Norwich Radiology Academy, after which time she completed a Fellowship in Musculoskeletal Imaging at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Hospital, Oxford.
She was appointed to Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust in 2011 where she leads the MSK service and co-leads the Clinical Governance role.
She has an interest in education and research, teaching on several regional courses and has published several musculoskeletal papers in peer-review journals as well as reviews and book chapters.
